Overview

Pillar Bulk Messaging ("the Extension") is a browser extension that helps property management professionals send personalized messages to leads from within Funnel (nestiolistings.com). This policy explains what data the Extension collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Data We Collect

1. Your Identity (Browser Sign-In Email)

The Extension reads your signed-in browser profile email via the identity.email browser API. This email is:

  • Stored locally in Chrome/Edge extension storage
  • Sent to our licensing server to verify your access
  • Included as a header on every API request for authentication

We do not collect passwords or any other account credentials.

2. Lead Data (from Funnel)

When you run the bulk messaging tool, the Extension reads the following information from the Funnel leads list pages you are actively viewing:

  • Lead first name
  • Lead profile URL / lead ID

This data is processed locally in your browser to prefill message templates. It is stored temporarily in sessionStorage (cleared when the browser tab/session ends) and is not transmitted to our servers unless message tracking is enabled.

3. Message Tracking

When a message is sent, the Extension may send a tracking payload to our server (/messages/track) containing:

  • Your browser email (for attribution)
  • Message metadata (e.g., lead ID, message type, timestamp)

This is used to provide usage analytics and enforce license limits.

4. License Status

The Extension sends your email to our server (/license/status) to check your subscription status. The result (e.g., active, demo) is cached locally for performance.

5. User Preferences

The following are stored only locally in your browser's localStorage and never transmitted:

  • Message template text
  • Email subject line
  • Message type preference (SMS or Email)
  • Send flow preference
  • Dock position and UI state

Data Storage

Data Where Stored When Cleared
Browser email Chrome/Edge extension storage On extension uninstall or manual clear
License status cache Chrome/Edge extension storage After 1 hour of inactivity (auto-cleared)
Session state (leads, progress) sessionStorage When the browser tab/session ends
UI preferences & templates localStorage on nestiolistings.com Until you clear browser data

Auto-clear: The Extension automatically clears all extension storage after 1 hour of inactivity.

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • Lead phone numbers, email addresses, or personal contact details
  • Message content or the text of messages you send
  • Browsing history outside of nestiolistings.com
  • Any data from pages other than nestiolistings.com

Third-Party Services

The Extension communicates with one external server:

Pillar API (funnel-production-afd4.up.railway.app)
Purpose: License verification and message tracking
Data sent: Your browser sign-in email, message tracking metadata
Hosting: Railway (railway.app)

No data is shared with advertising networks, data brokers, or any other third parties.

Data Retention

  • Server-side: License status and message tracking records are retained for as long as your account is active. Contact us to request deletion.
  • Client-side: All local data is cleared automatically after 1 hour of inactivity, or when you uninstall the extension.

Your Rights

You may at any time:

  • Clear all local data by uninstalling the Extension or clearing your browser's extension storage
  • Request deletion of any server-side data associated with your email by contacting us
  • Revoke access by removing the Extension from your browser

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Extension's features change. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any revisions. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
